2020 Edition, Airports of Mexico, Central America, and Cuba

The most complete Airport Location and Frequency reference for all major airports in Mexico, Central America, and Cuba. Also included is a special section that covers almost all Pistas (airstrips) in Baja California.

Of special interest are several new airports in both Baja and mainland Mexico including the new airport at Creel.

Every airport/pista has been fact checked as to location via Google Earth as well as all data has been confirmed.

Although there are restrictions flying to Cuba, this is mainly for our International Members who do not have US Restrictions as well as for us that overfly Cuba and are looking for alternate emergency landing places. Included are twenty five Cuban ICAO airports

A must have tool for the adventurous pilot, it is time to replace the old with the new and have all the latest information regarding flight into Mexico in your flight bag.

2020 Edition, Airports of Mexico, (Above) Insert only

The same book as listed above but instead of a cover, it is provided with standard three hole punched pages for inserting in your older Bush Pilot Airport guide binder.

Why would you want this? Many people, including myself, like to pull pages out of the book and put them on the yoke of the aircraft.
This way you set up your trip with all the stops in order and when the trip is over, you put the sheets back into the book. Either way, the new Airports of Mexico book is your critical tool for flying south.

US L1-L2 Caribbean / Mexico / Central America Chart

Both Mexico and the US have discontinued their VFR charts for the States of Mexico i.e. CH22, CH23, etc.
We find that the best chart available for flying south of the US Border is the above chart. It lists all Airports, Airways, Intersections, etc. as well as basic airport information.

The only thing that is really missing is the topo map that reflects the elevation of the land however, airway info does list MEA and the Airport info indicates altitude so it is not hard to determine altitudes.

Both Mexico and Jeppesen do provide guide books however their cost is in the US$300 + range and expires on a regular basis. Your GPS as well as ForeFlight do a really good job of elevation concerns.

Myself, I have a US L1-L2 in the cockpit for long range planning but rely mostly on my electronic devices on my panel as well as in my flight bag.
